Fruit Tree Waqf (A Sadaqah Jarriyah Project)
SANZAF has embarked on a Fruit Tree “Leave a Legacy” campaign, to support the Waqf system that can be traced back to the Prophet Muhammed (peace and blessings be upon him) who advised Hadrat Umar (may Allah (SWT) be pleased with him) to pledge a portion of land that he had acquired as Waqf. The land would remain intact and would not be sold, whilst the fruits will be given as Sadaqah (voluntary charity)
The Fruit Tree project is a sustainable resource and the contributions towards this project is a means of Sadaqah Jaariyah (perpetual charity) for the donors.
With your support we were successful in planting 30 fruit trees. We were assisted by the owner of Lotus Nursery who identified appropriate fruit trees for those areas, helped with the planting and up keeping of the Fruit Trees.
SANZAF in partnership with Al Ansaar hosted the disability market day at the Al Ansaar hall.
The market day was organised to create business opportunities for persons with disabilities.
The event was highly successful with sales ranging from fresh fruit, koek sisters, toys etc.
The messenger of Allah (SWT) (peace and blessings be upon him) said “when a man dies his deeds come to an end except Three things: Sadaqah Jarriyah (perpetual charity), A knowledge which is beneficial or a virtuous defendant who prays for him(Muslim)
For many years SANZAF has constructed Water Wells, particularly in villages in Malawi where there are thousands of people who are struggling to survive without access to clean, safe water.
Alhumdulillah, in 2020 SANZAF successfully installed 68 Water Wells
Your voluntary contribution will provide people living in poverty, the help they need and will also benefit you. (Sadaqah Jarriyah)
