Islamic education:
Islamic education cultivates a deep understanding of Islamic principles, fosters moral character, and equips individuals to contribute positively to society while preserving and propagating the values of their faith. It serves as the foundation for building a harmonious and ethically grounded community.
SANZAF Gauteng invests in this by Madrassa, Hifz and Alim students who come from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Social Development
Social development projects are vital as they empower marginalized communities, fostering inclusivity and sustainable change. By addressing root causes and promoting holistic well-being, these initiatives contribute to a more equitable and compassionate society.
SANZAF Gauteng contributes to this through:
Micro-Traders Programme - SANZAF is collects used clothes that is in good condition for our Micro - Trader Empowerment Programme. The objective of this initiative is to empower our beneficiaries so that they can earn a living and have empowered 74 Micro-Traders to become self-sufficient.
Water Project – SANZAF has established a filtration and bottling facility to process groundwater. This supports the meals outreach program and the sales of the bottled water allows us to create employment opportunities for welfare beneficiaries within the social development program.
SANZAF Bakery - The SANZAF Bakery provides fresh bread rolls for the SANZAF meals project and skills training to employees.
Food Security:
SANZAF has consistently dedicated itself to combating food insecurity through a variety of interconnected programs designed to improve and empower communities across South Africa. Among these endeavours is the commitment to addressing the essential requirement for nutrition and alleviating hunger among the most disadvantaged.
SANZAF Gauteng facilitates a number of projects and distributions aimed at food security which ensures thousands of fresh meals are delivered monthly to those in need through the SANZAF Bakery, Waterpreneurs, school and madrassah food programmes.
